About the Practice

Georgia Nephrology is the largest private nephrology practice in the state of Georgia. We see patients in 9 office locations and manage more than 30 dialysis centers around Metro Atlanta to serve the needs of our community. Georgia Nephrology is committed to providing the highest quality health care for patients with kidney disease.

Working with patients for over 40 years, we have grown to be one of the best nephrology practices in America. Georgia Nephrology, Decatur

The practice was started in the mid-1970s in Decatur by Dr. Barry Rosenbaum as Nephrology Consultants. In 1983, Dr. Ze'ev Sharon joined him, and the practice became Rosenbaum & Sharon Nephrology Consultants. With the addition of Dr. Karen Muro in 1993, the practice was renamed Atlanta Nephrology Referral Center (ANRC).

The practice grew and thrived over the ensuing 20 years, adding providers and expanding its practice locations to include Conyers, Covington, Lithonia, Snellville, and Lawrenceville.

In 2014, ANRC joined forces with Georgia Quality Kidney Care, a three physician practice with offices in Lawrenceville, Buford, and Johns Creek. The combined practice became Georgia Nephrology as it exists today. As Georgia Nephrology, we remain dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and care of patients with kidney disease.
