About Rashel Mahini

Ms. Mahini pursued her nursing degree after moving to the United States, and spent eight years as a bedside nurse caring for patients through some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Those years are what led her to become an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, and after earning her degree from Mercer University she found her calling in nephrology. She enjoys caring for patients with kidney disease because it lets her build lasting relationships while helping them navigate complex medical conditions with compassion and confidence.

Great care, she believes, begins with listening. Her goal is for every patient to feel welcomed, respected, and truly heard — she takes the time to answer questions, explain treatment options in language that is easy to understand, and build a care plan with each patient that fits their individual needs and goals.

Outside of work, Ms. Mahini enjoys spending time with her family, whether they are cooking together, traveling, or simply making memories at home. They are a daily reminder of the importance of kindness, patience, and treating every patient like family.
