Research

Clinical research at Georgia Nephrology.

Through the Georgia Nephrology Research Institute, our patients can take part in clinical studies and reach newer treatments — a depth of care usually associated with university hospitals, available right here in the community.

The Georgia Nephrology Research Institute

The Georgia Nephrology Research Institute is a standalone, nephrology-specific research facility. We work with pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical-device companies to advance how kidney disease is detected, prevented, and treated — and to bring that research directly to our patients in the community.

Our team runs trials from start to finish, with experience across Phase I through Phase IV and investigator-sponsored studies, including the ability to support Investigational New Drug (IND) submissions.

Why research here

  • Published experts — our research is led by our physicians alongside their clinical practice.
  • State-of-the-art facilities — a dedicated, nephrology-focused research site.
  • A wide range of available studies — across the conditions we treat every day.

Getting involved

There are two ways to work with the Research Institute:

  • Trial participants — patients who may be a fit for a current study. Ask your Georgia Nephrology physician whether a clinical trial may be an option for you.
  • Trial sponsors — pharmaceutical, biotech, and device partners looking for a nephrology-specific research site.

Information about our current research partnerships, the specific studies now enrolling, and selected publications is being finalized with our physicians.
