One of Georgia Nephrology’s long-standing offices, our Decatur location serves DeKalb County and the eastern side of metro Atlanta with full kidney care and an on-site lab. It’s convenient for patients in Decatur, Avondale Estates, Stone Mountain, and nearby Atlanta neighborhoods.
Your doctor will order labs to be completed about a week before your appointment, so your results are ready to review when you’re seen. The lab closes for lunch from 12 to 1 p.m.

Dr. Abebe was wonderful. She is very kind, friendly, and compassionate. She spent lots of time with me....explaining everything and answering my questions. I feel very confident knowing that she is looking after me. I would recommend her and her practice with the knowledge that she will do the right thing. In addition, Yvane Wimberley (the Nurse Practitioner) is fabulous. I saw her my first visit to the practice in January. She was also very kind and compassionate. In addition she called me twice to check on me. That is rare!! Yesterday we met Jay. I think he is the Nursing Assistant. He was a lovely young man...friendly and welcoming. He is a wonderful first line person for the practice. All in all, I can find nothing negative with this office and personnel. Everyone was top notch; also the clerical staff!
