Advanced practice provider
Patsy Doris, AGNP
About Patsy Doris
Ms. Doris was born and raised in Grenada. Her path into nephrology began in 2005, when she started working in dialysis as a hemodialysis technician — an experience that sparked her interest in kidney disease and gave her the chance to build meaningful relationships with patients managing chronic and complex conditions. She later became a registered nurse and continued working in hemodialysis, which further strengthened her clinical knowledge and her passion for the field.
Wanting to expand her role in patient care, Ms. Doris earned her Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner degree at Walden University and became AANP certified. Becoming a nurse practitioner has allowed her to build on her years of dialysis experience while taking a more comprehensive role in managing kidney disease, educating patients, and helping improve their overall health and quality of life.
Ms. Doris approaches patient care with compassion, respect, and a strong commitment to patient education. She believes in listening to her patients and encouraging them to take an active role in managing their health, and she works to build trusting relationships with them and their families while providing evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Outside of work, Ms. Doris enjoys spending time with her family, staying active, traveling, and continuing to expand her professional knowledge.
